And everyone of them knew that before they ever launched their boat... I don't get the "woe is me" attitude... BASS, MLF, Won Bass and NPFL never said come fish our tournaments and we'll pay you millions... They've always been a vehicle for you to build your fortune... Dan

They can make more money for their sponsors with actual content not fishing the elites. If you see Miliken come back Id be very surprised. Maybe BASS should focus on actually paying their "pros."

If you are paying entry fees and expenses at that level, you should go home. Or get a better agent.

Better agent?🤣🤣🤷‍♂️🤦🏼 You act like these guys have rosenhaus hollering at BASS saying “show me the money”. They are fishing for their own money with the exception of a few

I see you are out of touch.

You are clueless

I know some on the tour that have agents, so it is you who is clueless.

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

Chappy thinks a few guys having agents and making money- a few out of the hundred plus by the way that scrape by, means the 90% are doing it wrong…

We have said a few have agents and get their fees paid. It is very few maybe 10 guys that get their fees and expenses paid.
I suspect a lot of them have “agents” but that doesn’t mean diddly. Having an agent cost them 10% of sponsor monies etc. it doesn’t mean they get everything paid for.
Glad you know some pros.
I know the factories that are doing the sponsoring and can tell you there aren’t many paying paying full rides for pros.

The funniest thing is that so many fans thinks if a "pro" makes $200K a year they are doing good financially. Unless they have no home expenses, they are pretty much broke and living on the come.

Yep and that’s gross income. Subtract travel which I don’t think can be done for less than 50k, plus boat they have to pay for at the end of the year if they are lucky. And their home expenses it makes most of them middle class at best.
If they are supporting themselves and don’t have family money covering the expenses.

These guys aren’t fishing just for the payouts from the leagues they participate in. They fish them because their main income from their sponsors require them to fish a certain amount of professional level tournaments. If they don’t, they lose those sponsorships. Livingston lures pays 100 grand to their pro team and I doubt they’re the only ones paying decent money..
If these guys give up pro level tournaments, they give up pro level sponsors.

Everyone acts like there’s no money in professional fishing and then we see all these guys houses that have been doing it for a while. They’re doing OK.
And let’s not act like every single one of these guys have a high $ alternative to fall back on. Millikan does but some of these guys would be mowing yards, on a farm, in a refinery, or worse. Professional fishing for a living sounds better.

Milliken proved to everyone he’s one of the best in the game. I hope he gets off the trail and goes back to making cool YouTube videos. The videos he did traveling to different lakes l all over the country were awesome.
