So far the first six months of the year have been pretty good. Catching plenty of good quality Bluegill in the 7 to 9 inch range, Redbreast in the 8 to 11 inch range, Redear in the 8 to 9 inch range, and some nice Hybrid Sunfish in the 8 to 10 inch range. Have caught a few Longear, Warmouth, and Green's and they have been few and far between. I have also been catching plenty of nice Rios in the 8 to 10 inch range. Best spots have been ponds and creeks. I have had some good trips fishing hill country rivers. This week I had the chance to fish with friends Steve and Wayne. We caught good numbers of Bluegill and Redbreast. The biggest Redbreast was just under 10 inches. The Bluegill were in the 7 to 8 inch range. We also caught several bass with the biggest going at 4 Lbs. We caught well over 50 fish. Most fish were released. We kept some Bluegill for the dinner table. Fish were caught on worms using both float and bottom techniques. Having a great year fishing with friends. It just don't get any better!

Thanks Steve. We can use a lot of rain on many of the water bodies I am fishing. Hopefully we can get some tropical showers during the upcoming summer months.

Chuck...Have u tried Dunlap yet...or any plans to do so ?

Have not fished Dunlap yet. I do have plans on fishing it soon! I have checked with a couple of friends of mine who have fished Dunlap regularly and they have not fished it yet either. I do not know what the bite would be like.
