My son had it for 2 or months then Spectrum brought fiber out there which was 4X better.
Advice? Wise men don't need it. Fools won't heed it !

I've had it now for almost 2 years. It's fantastic. Never a hick-up always works and the speeds are the best I've seen. I can't wait until they come out with the new sat phone!

I was at Best Buy returning some worthless ROKU speakers. They had Starlink on the shelf. $299.
Musk dropped the price from $500.

Interesting Starlink facts.
Starlink satellites in orbit = 6281
Starlink satellite lifespan = 5 years
Starlink satellite cost = $200,000 each
Starlink satellite orbit = once around the earth every 90 minutes.

My son had it for 2 or months then Spectrum brought fiber out there which was 4X better. 4x better in terms of speed? 4x faster? That sounds exaggerated to me.

- Spectrum Fiber: Up to 1,000 Mpbs

My daughter has Starlink at her house at 9,900 feet altitude in the middle of nowhere Colorado and it has functioned without any problems. Just got back today from there and had zero issues. Almost 2 miles closer to the satellites than here in Houston…..lol. It’s niche is areas where there isn’t any decent internet service.

I had Starlink at my old house. It was the best thing we could get and it was great compared to Verizons service. New house we have ATT 1Gig Fiber. Absolutely blows Starlink out of the water. I average 400 mbps down and 300 up wireless. My sons Xbox is wired and it averages 850.
If Starlink was all I could get I would never hesitate.
