I’ve tried catching them a couple times and they were dead as soon as they got in the dip net. You must be a very gentle net man, Bob.

I have had to rescue a few in my big garage that has 15' high side walls. That's when I learned to not leave any garage doors open except for certain times of the year. All the little guys know how to do is go up. It's a real pain to get them out alive. I've had to revive a few at the feeder. That's kind of cool.

Had one get in the RV got itself so worn out not finding the door just sat down on the counter next to the sink. Didn't struggle a bit when I picked it up and carried it outside and put it on a tree branch. Sat there maybe 30 seconds and flew off. Made my day.

Fishing, a man knows a serenity of soul and peace of mind that he finds in doing nothing else, and it makes no difference whether or not he catches anything. The mind of a true fisherman is not on petty subjects.

The inside top of my shop is 19'. The sides are 16'. I had to stand on a 12' step ladder to get close to them with the net. If I fell, I would be typing about my stupidity from a hospital bed. roflmao I ain't leaving my shop door open all night, so I had to do something. The wife was all upset about it, so if I wanted any last night, I had to catch the hummingbirds. roflmao

Interesting. The last one let me gently pick it up off the net and place it on a feeder we had on the ground.

Careful on them ladders Bob-
Falling off of ladders don’t always end with just a bump on the head-

These days, I have a three rung limit on ladders.
Deadly contraptions.

Ladders are a leading cause of injury in construction.

A good man from Ennis died last Thursday night after he fell off of a ladder remodeling the Decatur courthouse -

When I am on a ladder, I always make sure my wife is underneath so she can catch me if I fall.
