Why would he go to the NPFL or MLF Invitationals, BASS not doing enough with the cheating stuff and he's one and done there?

But prior to the Elites he had over 600K subscribers and probably made more in a month than what he earned in the Elites for the season. It could just be a risk/reward decision. 6th Sense has exploded and now with Johnston designing baits it may make more sense to not be away so much for so little.

Its not, the only ones doing it are probably the ones who really love the game, and the stinkin game has changed with FFS so some of those are falling out of love with it. The pro bass tournament model has been broken a long time but no one knows how to fix it.

He could be doing this to get money out of BASS because all his followers are quite the asset, the guy has an IQ for his worth to an organization. I would guess BASS would not play that game as it opens up a can of worms to anglers with big social media following that Elite qualify in the future but there could always be NDA and cash pushed quietly.

Yeah, but Milliken does that whether it's a tournament or not. The guy loves to fish and travels insane distances weekly for 1-2 days of fishing. It's most likely click bait, but I think the BS stuff on tour might've worn on him too. And honestly his tournament series shows are not as fun to watch as his other shows. He'll be fine either way.
