Under Texas law, voters who possess one of the seven acceptable forms of photo ID must present that ID at the polls when voting in person. Voters who do not possess and cannot reasonably obtain one of the seven approved forms of photo ID may fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration (RID) (PDF) at the polls and present an alternative form of ID, such as a utility bill, bank statement, government check, or a voter registration certificate.

Here is a list of the acceptable forms of photo ID:
Texas Driver License issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS)
Texas Election Identification Certificate issued by DPS
Texas Personal Identification Card issued by DPS
Texas Handgun License issued by DPS
United States Military Identification Card containing the person’s photograph
United States Citizenship Certificate containing the person’s photograph
United States Passport (book or card)

Here is a list of the supporting forms of ID that can be presented if the voter does not possess one of the forms of acceptable photo ID and cannot reasonably obtain one:
copy or original of a government document that shows the voter’s name and an address, including the voter’s voter registration certificate;
copy of or original current utility bill;
copy of or original bank statement;
copy of or original government check;
copy of or original paycheck; or
copy of or original of (a) a certified domestic (from a U.S. state or territory) birth certificate or (b) a document confirming birth admissible in a court of law which establishes the voter’s identity (which may include a foreign birth document).
After presenting one of the forms of supporting ID listed above, the voter must execute a Reasonable Impediment Declaration.

I agree, but they need to figure out how to stop the cheat in the other states.

For the States that do not have to show ID's to vote, then the citizens should not have to show ID's for anything. Driver license, buying guns, ammo, alcohol, movies, etc.

So, you're worried about Voter ID? That’s because they want you to be worried about Voter ID.

Lifelong conservative and startup guy here... The solution for the Voter ID problem is the adoption of a tech platform. Right now, you're basically complaining about checking voter signatures. Well, hey, with dozens of tech startups in my rearview mirror, I have a tech solution for this.

Imagine a future where instead of debating about visually checking a voter signature, you're posting about blockchain and algorithms. What’s the zero-knowledge proof? Is it using zk-SNARKs? Suddenly, voter integrity isn’t about IDs but about cryptographic proofs and decentralized ledgers. The tech platform that ensures election integrity today could be the foundation of a stateless society tomorrow.

Just think, the same technology that solves voter ID could accelerate us into a world where trust and governance are managed by code, not politicians. There are already tech overlords like Peter Thiel, who founded PayPal with Elon Musk, aiming for a one-world money system. Thiel is also the first and major investor in Facebook. Elon owns X (formerly Twitter).

Why's that matter? Thiel met J.D. Vance in 2010 during a talk at Yale that Vance said changed his life. After Yale, Vance worked for Thiel in the Bay Area. In 2018, Thiel funded Vance's Senate campaign, secured Trump’s endorsement for him, and now Trump is openly saying you won't have to vote in the future. This is being spun one way but most that have been around Thiel have heard him say this.

Peter has been mentoring J.D. since 2010. Thiel and Vance own Rumble, Trump owns TruthSocial, Thiel and Musk control most social media, AI, SpaceX the list goes on and on... The global mind reach they have is unimaginable.

Ready to dive into the future where democracy and technology converge?" Don't take my word for it, go read Thiel’s 2009 essay: The Education of a Libertarian. Keep in mind this was the basis for the talk he gave in 2010 that changed J.D.s life... Here are some quotes, "Most importantly, I no longer believe that freedom and democracy are compatible" and a favorite as it show's he thinks he alone can save the world, "The fate of our world may depend on the effort of a single person who builds or propagates the machinery of freedom that makes the world safe for capitalism." Also, suggest googling "Stateless Society" just about anything you find there is funded by Peter. Yes - Stateless, in Stateless Society means just that, he doesn't see the United States or any nation state existing as we know it today...

That Voter ID thing you're worried about... Peter has a solution ready to help...

BTW - after you come up to speed on the playbook, then let's revisit what happened on July 13....
