My experience recently with the TPWD office in Fort Worth, close it. Insane the difficulty they put you through to register a boat. To them a statement of fact is a lie.

Alabama like most states have two divisions. wildlife and fisheries AND state parks. Two budgets. Texas has one division that gets very little funding from the state (yes, they got one time money from the state for the state parks), depending mostly on license fees. Trying to compare different states is apples and oranges.

I fish the Alabama coast and buy; I believe is a one week non-resident salt water permit, and it is quite reasonable. I've gotten to spend some time talking to Alabama fish and game employees; including game wardens, and they've they've even directed me to areas to get on fish.

tpwd is nothing more than state run militarized unit that runs around writing tickets and extorting money to fill the states pocket book, and all they do is enforce and protect the states crooked [censored] political jerkwads that do nothing but pass laws to control everything,.all the money the state collects from your hunting and fishing licenses and out of control fines goes to the general fund where all the politicians get to spend on their parties and lavish lifestyles and of coarse more cops to protect their crooked butts

I've always had good experiences with Texas GWs. Can't say the same about Florida GWs. Count your blessings.

Most of my experiences with Texas Game Wardens have been very positive. With the exception of a Game Warden with the initials J.A. (or maybe it is a G.A.).

It is a beautiful state, but there are reasons it is cheaper to live in Arkansas... Mainly because of royalties from the toothbrush...

I need to roll by Academy. I get the combo with tags of things I've never seen in real life. I also need to go on Fort Hood and get fishing passes.

Nothing better then a Federal cultured lake. For turtles. Pay no attention to the submerged wiring harness from something. Or the people sneaking out there. With every catfish, crappie and bass being stock sized. Anything any bigger has seen everything thrown at it's face, all before. Did I mention turtles? Soft shell. Some big enough to take a finger off. But it's within walking distance.

Next option is Belton lake. Ugh

Leon river...I like to walk a bank. Leon is mostly sit there in one spot. Nolan creek, I'm not 12 years old.

I need a vacation from Bell County. That's what I need. Hire some of these ocean guilds y'all post pictures of.

The majority of Texoma is Oklahoma because of how the river runs. They will patrol the edge of the TX side marinas especially the largest 2 in the evening doing boat checks and watching for jet skis out past sunset.

Nice to see someone else agrees. Most Texans are like Democrats, you can see it in the comments. They are dedicated no matter what.

I've never had any issues with TPWD offices or Texas GW. That's all I got to say.

^^^^not all about revenue^^^^^^^^^^^
my brother has two condo's on the water in port mansfield. One weekend, i observed a couple families with mexico license plates next door. The women and kids were using live shrimp under the lights to catch HUNDREDS of small, undersized speckled trout.. I called txpwd several times and they never showed. In retrospect, i should not have provided a description of them.

To back this up, go to ANY jetty system in Texas, and watch all the asians keep undersized fish, all day... Never a ticket, or second thought... two tier justice system
