Well log down another good day on the water. I did catch anything big but i caught alot mind you mostly small fry and the occasional eater. I didn’t use chicken titties but Danny kings can in clutch. I should also mention that i chummed with some range cubes as well. I will say they are pretty good at getting things going. Here are the spots i chummed.

The 3rd set of cords produced the most. I bait all those spots and caught fish at all of them but nothing big. The depth there was around 10-15 feet. I think I might try looking for some deeper spots and see if the size changes for the better. I will also be changing bait

Everyone is welcome to try those spots whole knows maybe some with catch a bug kitty. I will say I caught a good mix of channels and blues using the DK’s blood punch. I just got some DK’s original so i hope it pans out as well.

A little update, this morning I chummed the most productive spots from yesterday and a new spot in the same area but a little more shallow. The two most productive spots didn’t produce anything but the new spot was money. It was in 8 feet of water. I chummed the area with range cubes. The area produced a lot of cat fish mainly blues with the occasional channels.

Gear:
Slip cork
17lb P-line
#6 treble hook
#2 circle hook
7’ diawa laguna rod
Quantum invade baitcaster

Bait:
Strawberry jello chicken
Danny kings punch bait original flavor

Chum:
Range cubes 20%

It’s the first time i ever use the strawberry jello chicken and i must say i was very impressed. The i had more bites on the chicken than the punch bait by far. I just didn’t have a good hook up ratio i think my hook was to small or it was just smaller fish taking the bait and running. I will play around with the hook size and see if that make a difference. On a side note the bigger fish came on the chicken. The punch produced good numbers but smaller fish.

If i get a chance to go next weekend I thing i will be targeting deeper fish. Hopefully this results in better size while still getting a ton of bites. I’ll be targeting areas from 40 to 70 feet. I will probably have to go to a bigger sinker for sure i think.

I have been moving around some trying to find better fish and a better bite. These two spots did pretty good for me this past weekend.

My best spots have been 8-10feet. The bottom has been a mix of gravel and sandy i would guess at least from what i can see on the fish finder.
