I wanted to like it but went with a Quest instead. Biggest turn off was the foot pedal, or should I say the lack of controls on it. Having to have 3 different stomp switches mounted on deck along with the power switch killed it.

The other thing I hated was if you lifted it it would cut off power to the prop. Not good when trying to get out of rock or heavy brush but supposedly they corrected that with a software update. Rumor is they are coming out with a new foot pedal that more conventional with the buttons built in. If so, I may revisit it.

Wouldn't surprise me at all, heck they want $300 for an adaptor plate so you don't have to drill new mount holes. Funny how Minn Kota, Motor Guide, Garmin, and Lowrance all use the same mounting pattern. PP went a different route to squeeze more $$$$ out of a customer and justify their awesome customer service.

It's one of the things I hate about my Ghost. My Ultrex can be spot locked and I can gift it up and it’s still trying to stay going for a few seconds. It’s happened several times. So it could be worse!

It's one of the things I hate about my Ghost. You really have to lift the ghost high up to get it to shut down. For me it's high enough that it's out of the water anyways. What shaft length is your ghost? (sounds like a weird question)

My ghost is the 47” and almost has to be vertical before it will turn off. If I had to buy again today, not sure I’d purchase it; but don’t know what I would purchase.
As far as the PP Move, I like the lesser weight, even though it’s not much; but they added too much junk with it. Junk being defined as wireless pedal, extra screen to mount and an APP that’s required for adjustments. Add in the “adapter plate” and the foot that is a mother bleeper to add your own transducers onto. Is it really that hard to make a light weight spot lock motor with foot pedal without a bunch of added junk?

I'm sure guys with boats paid off will be doing some of these upgrades. The bigger problem is this just keeps new boat prices going up. The new boat market really needs technology to take a break for about 3yrs to flatline boat prices.

Guy with a paid off old boat… I’ll wait till one of these guys get pissed off enough to unload it at 75% off 😆

I was going to order the new Lowrance 9 inch Eagle set up with the FFS built in and a Ghost trolling motor sometime next month, two sonar units. I contacted Russell Marine Products yesterday and they said it would probably be Christmas before any of that would be available, earliest possible would be late November. Lowrance has been advertising these units for a while, you'd think they'd have a warehouse full of them before they brought them to market. If I can get that set up about $5k will do it all.
