I've been using Relion for years, but they kinda suck since they've been bought out. I had a 9yr old battery go out last month and no discout was offered. Now my 5 year old cranking battery is out and no discount offered. Both have 10 year warranty. I'm done with Relion. Any recommendations on a different brand?

all depends on what bells and whistles you want along with Amp Hours. We currently have Dakotas but we have had Ionic as well.

$115 for a 50ah is less expensive that an Oriellys group 31. And better.
$105 for a 60ah is even better.

I just bought a set similar size to that one from them. Got them installed monday. Planning on testing them out this weekend.

Have lots of videos on my youtube channel on different 'budget' brands.

What is your price point? Cranking battery or deep cycle?

Thank you. Cranking/Electronics. 100ah is what I've been using. I've been paying 1k but paying less wouldn't hurt my feelings.

I have been running Li Time for trolling motor and graphs. They've been great. Still run AGM for cranking.

Lithium are really a game changer. It's amazing how much power you can get with such little weight. I am running dual 100ah eg4 lithium for the TM, there is no way you could run these down in one day. Most I ever pulled them down was near 45% fishing a lake that doesn't allow you to run big motors (Lady Bird / town lake in Austin). I went to well past the 360 bridge and back to 35 bridge mostly burning between spots. Wind helped in abusing the batteries. I went with 100ah because I never want to "have" to leave the lake because the batteries are low. But if you aren't using them like that you settle on two 50ah batteries. But I have been pretty 'mad at em' and in the last 6 months had many 12+ hr days out on the water just piddling around. If you can swing it, get a battery with a Bluetooth option so you can check the battery (remaining power %). But if you have a digital volt meter, you can easily just check the voltage of the battery while it is not under a load to get this info. I will add a chart below.

Note: don't look at the voltage on the graph for the voltage for this chart, you have to test at the battery. Voltage drops between the batteries and electronics will drop a skosh. So test at the battery with a meter. My helix will display 12.3-12.5 pretty much all day. When I end the day the battery will be at 55-70% remaining.
I run one dedicated 100ah for two depth finders (helix 12/mega 360 & Garmin 1222 livescope), and two 100ah batteries for the ultrex 24v TM. Wally world wet cell for starting.

This is for lithium batteries. Voltage will tell you where your batteries are at

We are a Monster Marine and an Impulse Lithium Dealer. We sell and install a pretty large amount of these batteries and have had zero issues with them. Let me know if we can help you.

All I'll say on the Lithium front is that if you ever expect to actually cash in on the 10yr warranty that most every lithium battery out there claims to have, you better buy one of a hand full of name brands, and buy it from reputable dealer. I know SO MANY fishermen that have had issues with their lithium batteries lately. Most just had to bite the bullet and buy a new battery. Just be careful because many if not most of the claimed warranties are just lies.

Relion used to be one of the good guys. Customer service was good and they honored their warranty. Now their warranty and batteries suck. I bought a bad tm battery 3 weeks ago and having to fight them to get it replaced.
