Thanks Leo. It took me 45 minutes to land that fish & my net handle broke when I tried to lift it out of the water. It also maxed out my scale that goes to 20#'s. It wore me out!

I forgot to mention in my previous post that once I snagged one (near the tail) on a crappie jig in a creek. I had 6lb test and a 5'6" ultralight rod. I was running down the bank after the fish as it was ripping drag. My buddy was able to almost land it for me when it broke off.

They will hit bass lures. My buddy caught one on a jerkbait last week at Texoma.
Also have caught them on a slab pretty consistently off his dock. Just barley hoping it off the bottom over and over... they will hit it. Happens enough off his dock that its a viable pattern to target them with those slabs. Key is to just every so subtly move it off the bottom and drop it back... you want to move it just inches off the bottom and let it free fall back. I think they think its a crawdad or minnow struggling as its down there just kicking up little bits of sediment.
