Got to fish with an old friend from our Motorola days many moons ago. It was great seeing him & he brought his grandson KJ. My 1st thought was...what kind of attention span will a 10 year old have out in a boat with no I-Pad or electronics. Well, I am here to say that this kid LOVES to fish....and wanted more when James & I were beat from the heat . We wanted to try one more spot around noon, but Zane had it covered. Zane did tell us about a spot they did good at... that we had not tried, & KJ wanted to go even though it was all the way across the lake. So we did... & did good.

The lake was pretty busy today I guess from 4th of July week, but we still had a good day. Ended up with 22 bass & 72 Sunfish. The bass were mostly concentrated in one spot early. Water temp was in the low 90s most everywhere on the lake. All sunfish caught on Gulp Alive 1" minnows & all bass caught on Tsunami Holographic Swimbaits...I believe they are 2 & 1/4 inch long & in the black shad color. All fish released to fight another day...Happy 4th of July to everyone
