I was stationed at Fort Hood from 75 thru 78. If Tx. ever needs an enema, Killeen is where they'll stick the hose.
Wrong...Dallas. (others on here will bring up Arlington but its still Dallas) At least it's not camp lejune. And it's not Fort Hood either...its Fort Cavazos....

Spray some Lysol in the air intake vent while it's running. Odoban has been applied. Now it smells like eucalyptus and funk. Straight up the AC unit. And why am I having to disinfect a house that was to be cleaned before I stepped in the door? What's my rent money for? I'm not their maintenance man. The toilet leak is fabulous. The outlets, hilarious. This place has some serious wiring issues. None of which anyone would have caught unless they had an electrician inspect it. Do I have to pay for that too? My side is fresh painted. The other side isn't. The other side is owned by a different company. And the condition is a reflection of the whole structure. All I wanted was a nice, clean, and healthy place to live. But no of course not. Not when urine and feces water floods the bathroom floor. Another thing, no inspection would detect. Not until you start using it. Sometimes things just suck. You can sit and bitch about it or you can fix it yourself if you are truly worried about your health. The toilet, AC filter and outlets might be $50 total to get right. Surely your health is worth a little effort and $50

Plus another $500 in bull$hit deposits and insurance. I'm not fixing $hit. How about I hire someone. Bill it to the property duche. With the cost subtracted from the rent? I'm not stupid. These basturds needs to fix all this or we're going to have legal complications. No one really wants. I'm not playing with no Slumlord POS. I will roll him.

Brother. I've sprayed all I can up the AC. The AC needs a professional duct cleaning. I don't have that capability.
Where else do I go before they fix it? Rent a motel room while paying rent on a place, by law, has to healthy?
This is my house.

I figured someone that was balling as hard as you, would pony up to have someone fix the problem, fix it yourself, or buy a place that isn’t a dump. I guess “buying people’s burned up land” was all talk.

I guess “buying people’s burned up land” was all talk. Oh how I wish I could. Limited income and all that. Every single $1 dollar counts. I wish I could afford a place that wasn't $hit. But that's not in the cards, is it? I earned this. Military service. So please save it.

This isn't just about my stupid house.
This is Killeen.
A neighbor waved at me. A man I trust. Never did me wrong. Good conversation.
He ends up on Channel 25. Killeen SWAT raided his house and he sang like a bird.
He's going to do time. Bell County got him. Cocaine.
I always knew he had other businesses. Never could tell what. He didn't use drugs. Not that I could tell.
He's getting time and I feel for him.
