You guys are missing the plot. Bassmast-her is an instructional initiative aimed to get more women into the sport. This is for young ladies, led by women instructors. They are targeting that young girl who enjoys fishing but grows up thinking it's a man's world, so they move away from it as they age. Have you noticed how many 6ā12-year-old girls enjoy fishing but how few 13+ stick with it? Could it be the creep factor of older men leering at them or possibly their misogynistic views?
99% of the men on TFF wouldn't take lessons from a female on just about anything. Most wouldn't attempt to pick up a hobby or sport that is 100% female. And none of you have a female idol that you emulate. So why do these young ladies have to learn and be inspired by a Man? It's not the end of the world to give young ladies a female role model to learn and be inspired by. And that starts with promoting the ladies that are in the sport right now.
If they were holding spots on the Elite series for Trait Zaldain then I get the outrage. But they are simply promoting the sport to young ladies in a way that they hope is more successful than we've been in the past. If you don't like it, simply skip that tiny section on their website and in their magazine's. Majority of the website and magazines is still dedicated to regurgitating the same articles year after year. So, you should be ok.
Ridiculous thread.
Or some of us simply don't give a damn about gender, race or whatever. I must be that 1%. I ain't too proud to learn from anyone. Constantly dividing everyone up into little categories just gets old. How about we all just be anglers?

I think your opinion is sound. Women are often better learners as adults. A guide buddy of mine says women come to learn and men come to teach. Personally, a bass open would be the last place Iād go to find a women, and I could care less what any of them look like.
