Growing in pots can be tough. This is where the cal/mag comes in. I rarely if ever get BER. Sprays weekly or biweekly of Cal/Mag will help. When you do hand water add a drop or two of blue dawn soap. Personally I like to add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of citric acid per 5gal when hand watering to lower the water Ph. Foliar sprays are absorbed quickly so I would kinda focus on that and a kiss of granular.

hang in the shade [real important] until the tops are completely dry; about 2 weeks; then cut off the tops with scissors, cut off the dry roots, lay them out until the top cut has cured; i've put them in knee hi panty hose, laid them in the garage, put them in the bottom tray of the ice box; keep an eye on soft ones or any growth; i've kept them as long as December;

gotem hangin in the garage. shady with fan but can get warm. i know ya gotta keep the soft/rotten ones out quick. didnt pull them all but got 8 nice ones with prolly 40-50 more to go. thanks! ive used the panty hose before.

i see a bunch that have gone to seed; they have blooms; eat those 1st; they won't keep; i pull those as soon as i see the bloom; that particular stem goes to the center of the onion and will rot fast;
