 BPT - Flip Flopping DURING tournament

It’s one thing to change rules from season to season or between events.
But now we have a Tournament Director Changing rules during an event?
Birge was given permission by the tournament director to open his drain plug to get under a bridge.
Then hours later he was notified it wasn’t okay, and his fish caught on the other side of the bridge were not counted…..
Either you ARE the TD or you ARE not.
I guess it’s a title only thing and someone else is pulling the strings.
What are the chances this ever happens to Wheeler?
Just another reason I don’t watch……….
