Ha!

The 5min two part JB weld epoxy definitely worked well to patch the holes in the Crocs.
The Bed Liner adhered great to the rubber flip flops.

It adhered well, but not great to the proprietary foam Crocs.

So far, so good.

Bottom line, I was able to avoid going to Academy Sports; which is a win, win.

I bought a pair online 5 years ago that I liked really good. Immediately bought another pair just in case they discontinued them. Still wearing the original pair.

I should have bought two when they were on clearance.
Wasn’t sure I’d like them as much as I do.

So you bought like $50 worth of epoxies and sprays to repair a hole in a $12 shoe?

Ha! I had the truck bed liner from a previous project.
Harbor Freight Truck bed liner is the cheapest at $10
The rubberized undercoating is $8 at Walmart.
JBweld Kiel two part epoxy $8

Sorry guys thaw those old things away and buy a new pair. Looks like a lot of wasted time and money to repair a cheap azz pair of crocs.

The repair was successful up until last week.

Got the Wmart fake croc replacement. Wmart calls them Rugged sharks. They are great for $12.

Sad day.......My original pair of flip flops finally broke today and I`m wearing the 5 year old new pair. FYI.....I actually looked to see if I could repair them and just couldn`t see a way. The piece your toes go between broke. confused 3

The toe piece is catastrophic failure.
Only a toe piece transplant could save the day…but prolong the inevitable at that stage.

I bought two pairs of the Croc flip flops years ago, one pair broke between the toes so went online and bought another pair of the croc flip flop classic, but they do not feel the same as the original ones that I had

I wear Tevas and they last sometimes 2 years and the straps pulling out of the bottoms is how they fail. I repaired mine temporarily with a strap tie, but I just get a new pair when they fail.

I give Docs methods an "A" for ingenuity and Red Green would be proud. grin

I got a pair for xmas about 10 years ago and they still going strong. I normally just wear them around the house.

Crocs are made from proprietary closed cell foam…they will definitely last longest if only worn as house shoes.

Closed cell foam is a total pain to work with. Lexel is probably the most widely available adhesive for closed cell foam…but the $12 Walmart Rugged Sharks are just as good and a tube of Lexel is $8.
