All this discussion and while we didn't know, it now appears what happened was just about what the police showed it to be.
We don't have all the parties and maybe not all the different witnesses but it does look like Scottie did stop and talk to the police officer, then disregard what he was told to do and just drove on.

If he's clammed up on the advice of his lawyer, that may be the best thing to do legally.
If it were me I'd try to get my lawyer to talk to the police and see if a meeting can be arranged. Contrition and acceptance of what you did wrong would look better than hiding out IMO. That is assuming the story line does not change.

going to be interesting when entire story comes out, if it ever does....
got a scenario where it was dark, apparently two policemen telling him what to do,the arresting officer is a detective doing security work with a rain coat on that may have kept him from being recognized as a policeman....lots of questions ,and from every description, the golfer is a really nice guy......

The most alarming part of this story is that he drove himself to the course.
It is early, early in the morning with poor visibility and golfers (other than Daly) probably don't want to consume any caffeine prior to a competitive round.
There have been multiple instances (Tiger and Rory immediately come to mind) where pro golfers have had driving to and from the course issues.
Sponsors for events should provide drivers for the top twenty pros at every tournament. I know those jacket/pants club folks did this for all the pros when the Nelson left the Four Seasons.

If it was me, I’d wait and read on the TFF whatever Allison1 said to do, then do the opposite.
