On 8/9 I had out Scott again on Benbrook and we ran into one of the toughest bites I can remember. For whatever reason, the fish just would not commit. Easily saw 200 plus fish and ended up with a good cooler full but had to work for each bite. Lake is getting low and hard to fish with all the stumps sticking up. Most fish are coming from timber in 15-24 ft and the fish are consistently down 12-18 ft.

8/10 I had out Alex and Kevin on Lavon! First thing in the morning when I went to beach the boat, I sucked up some mud/sand and the motor started overheating while idling. I could run around with no problems and so we made the trip happen. Man what a difference in the bite! They had 50 keepers by 1 pm or so. I only filleted a few for them and they took the rest home so no tailgate pics.

8/13 I was joined in the boat by Rafael on Benbrook! I figured the bite couldn't have gotten any worse so we gave it a shot. While the bite was far from "good" he put his limit together in a few hours and caught and released for a while after. My boat was overheating a couple times while idling but as long as I didn't idle too long, it gave me no trouble al all.

I ended up working on the motor for a few hours and found a piece of the old impeller in there but the engine was still overheating. I am going to replace the impeller and housing this week and see if that fixes it. I had to move a trip back but will be out in a clients boat tomorrow on Lavon.

Tight lines!

I have lots of openings with school starting back. Weekdays are open and I have lots of weekends open in September! Shoot me a PM or email me at anthonyruyle@gmail.com

On 8/18, I hopped in Tim's boat along with Scott out on Lavon! We focused on timber in 12-21 ft of water and filled a cooler pretty fast and he marked some good spots to come back and try. Had some good quality too!

On 8/27, I had Scott and his buddy Tony out on Lavon! Tony has this boat on Lavon and wanted to see live scope and also see some good areas to fish on his own. The bite was slow in the morning a usual and then picked up later in the day and they ended up with a nice mess! Again on timber with minnows. Did get a couple on some brush as well.

I have Sunday 9/8, Sunday 9/22 and lots of weekdays open as well! We can hit Ray Roberts, Lavon, Benbrook or Grapevine!

Shoot me a message on here or an email anthonyruyle@gmail.com to book!

I don't fish and tell too much but

Was lucky enough to make it out with KK today and he really put us on some piles that were thick with them. We had fo get off because of the coming rain - he was spot on with timing that exit.

kk is a Safe guide and knows how to find the structure and fish! Whether you want to bring home a good haul or learn give him a holler
