Went with my new fishing buddy aka WIFE to fish one of my local spots. I had rigged a pole, with a spin cast reel for her. We caught plenty of nice Bluegill and Redbreast and kept a few for breakfast. My wife is a excellent cook especially for cooking fish and authentic Chinese Food. We fished from 9am till 12 noon. Fish were caught by grass beds in about 5 feet of water. Bottom techniques were used. Fish were caught using worms. The following day she prepared a FANTASTIC Bluegill breakfast. Catching some Bluegill for breakfast with my wife. It just don't get any better!

Very nice! It's been a while since I was able to get out and catch some good eater bluegill. Looks like a good spot y'all fished with the calm water and vegetation.

Thanks JakeMcD for the reply. Yes Sir that pond is a very good Bluegill/Sunfish Fishery. Nice trophy size Bluegill, Redbreast, Green and Hybrid Sunfish in that pond. Not to mention plenty of fat 7 to 8 inch Bluegill.(The "Perfect eating Size"!)

Thanks trapperben, Steve, and Jamie for the replies. Steve: So far the ponds, creeks, and rivers I have fished are in fair shape and can use some more rain. Hopefully we can get several good soakings before the dog days of summer set in!
