His BFS rig ought to throw 1/16 oz. lures without any problems. They are made for ultralight lines and lures.

Sounds good then, I'm not familiar with bait casting reels.
His m/light action rod should be fun, trout can be a blast to fight.

Than you guys so much for the replies. I feel better about the trip already and have quite a few orders coming. I'll post when I get back.
Thank you.

Flying or driving up?

Check back for a weather report before you come up.

After some thought a very small Senko might work behind a small jig head.

Thanks again.

They were 2” to 2 1/2” long. I can’t find them either. I called the guy that put me onto them and he said they quit making them several years ago. It was good catching up w him, hadn’t spoke to him in years so thanks for that.
I’m sure the Rapala’s would work fine. Also as stated, I’m sure your float guide will help you out as well.
Good luck, it’s an awesome state to fish!

It's only a good cast if you catch a fish...

in Cooke City, Montana
they had a lure called
i think
The Wallet lure
The people using those were killing it

i dont think that is the name
the lure looked a lot like
The Little Cleo
the bend in the lure went up & down though
not sideways
