Everything on your list but bologna. I will not disgrace my smoker or waste the wood on bologna.

I would smoke or BBQ SPAM before I would put bologna on my smoker. I do know a fair share who swear by their bologna. I was fed enough for a lifetime when I was a kid.

Damn, this is a lose lose poll.

I like that entire list equally. It depends on the mood I'm in.

I've never grilled it. It's a family event type food. Feeding everyone.

Brisket need to be aged. In the freezer.

After that the flavor and texture is different. Then straight off the grill and let sit 5 minutes.

It'll also keep the smoke flavor as long as you keep it froze. Months later.

The chub you see at the deli meat counter under glass? They'll sell you the entire log. High quality stuff.

Put BBQ sauce on it.

Indirect heat and smoke it for at least an hour.

All good but pulled pork, not our deal.
You forgot chuck roast and tri-tip, both of those are A+ on the smoker.

Id rather a (smoked) bologna sammich than a chicken, pulled pork or turkey sammich.

Sausage sammich comes smoked, warmed up for eating.

I had a guy on the phone for an hour this afternoon pumping me for info on sausages . . .I dunno, ask the Germans ! ! !

I agree. I used to chop the point and slice the flat because the flat makes the prettiest slices. I have reversed my opinion on that now and the point is my favorite and I chop the flat if I want any chopped brisket. It needs to be rendered really good though. White fat on a brisket is not appealing and wasn`t rendered enough.

Depends on whether I'm cooking it or getting it at a BBQ place. For my cooking, I like ribs and pulled pork. At a BBQ place, I usually know what they do best and order that. If it's a place I have never been to before, It's automatically sliced brisket and sausage.

About the only way I eat brisket is either a chopped beef sandwich or a taco, I have to go with either pork ribs or beef Dino rib.

The standard by which I judge everyone. 2 meat plate with sliced brisket & sausage, beans, mac and cheese or both as the side.

So if I am eating a plate of bbq, then brisket is absolutely the #1 go-to. But if you are making "stuff" out of it - sammich, taco, etc... then I prefer the pulled pork.

That said, all are good. There are days where I'll be the weird-o that gets a plate of smoked turkey. Absolutely love it with a spicy sauce.

I love ribs and brisket, but had the opportunity to eat at a pig pickin in South Carolina and thought it was unbelievable. Whole hog BBQ is something everyone needs to experience.

Not for me. Brisket is rarely done correctly and I'm just not a fan of ribs...never have been. But when brisket is done right, it can be out of this world amazing!
