Large Texas Spiny Lizard dug out a nest in the garden, laid eggs and covered the entrance. Will be on the lookout for some little ones in a few weeks hopefully.

Majestic critter, no doubt.

I miss Texas Horny Toads. There'd be at least two in the garden at any given time of the day. They loved hot black dirt fields. Fairly common. Gorgeous lizard.

Not no more.

That's really cool, hopefully you'll be able to spot the little ones after they hatch.

Neat picture, I assumed they laid eggs or hatched in a tree, since you normally just see them in oak trees or on a fence.

We have had a few generations of them here at our house (organic / xeriscaped) in Denton. The generations are pretty easy to tell apart by SiZe.
