We have had a few generations of them here at our house (organic / xeriscaped) in Denton. The generations are pretty easy to tell apart by SiZe.

I had given up on the Texas Spiny Lizards hatching from the May egg laying. This very tiny little one showed up in the same area of the nest today. Hopefully more made it. cool

I call these fence lizards. I have several in my yard including this year's batch which are now about 31/2 to 4" long. They have or others have been around for years. The seem to like the rock borders in the landscape and the firewood pile. They are very cool in my opinion.
