I'm 75 years old. I usually fish by myself. I was getting out of the boat to step up on the dock and fell in the water. I almost hit my head on the dock. Since then I put a life jacket on before I back my boat in the water. I wear it until the boat is out of the water. It's one of those that goes around your neck and inflates if it gets wet. Doesn't bother me at all. I feel a lot more secure and safe wearing it.

Yea you can be the most fit healthy guy, faint due to heat stroke or bump head on boat - hit that water and done.
Slim1 i Hope to be fishing when im 79 keep it up buddy.

My uncle fainted, fell into Welch and drown around 1979 / 80. Had a friend in the boat with him but can’t find someone in East Texas water. He was a hs baseball coach but had underlying injuries from Highschool and college football. It can happen

Same happened on Tawakoni a few weeks ago. I believe he had a medical issue that caused him to fall overboard if I am correct.

Same happened on Tawakoni a few weeks ago. I believe he had a medical issue that caused him to fall overboard if I am correct. Steve Hope - Fishing a tourney & setting the hook on a big fish, had a massive heart attack. We got the call later that day. Steve was a great guy & a heck of a stick.
