Bought a couple of storage units a few weeks ago and found some pictures and memorabilia from the war.

Also got 2 framed pictures from what I believe is Normandy.

Anyone know of a dealer or expert to get apraised?

Dang that might be a jackpot. I don't know any dealers or experts for this but it could land you an appearance on Pawn Stars.

I know someone who is well-versed in WW2 collectibles, values etc. He might be able to help you.

Will get in touch with him and PM you

A lot of campuses have events right now that you could probably sell them at. Lots of fan base there.

My family had gone through a bunch of my grandfathers stuff and found his WW II trunk. Inside was a treasure trove of items. Really really cool things, but what do you do with it?
An old girlfriend of mine worked for some subsidiary of the VA and suggested we donate the items to a museum out in Abilene. Turns out, there was some pretty valuable items in that trunk, including a pristine "Eisenhower jacket." Guess these were hard to come by (???) and grandpa's was in tip top shape. That was 3 years ago and a few weeks back, I finally got to go out there and see it on display. It's a really cool little museum with lots of history. Please check it out and see if there is anything historically significant that they might enjoy and put on display. Going through there was really eye opening. Also learned that grandpa was Army infantry and later turned surgical nurse. Never knew that as he never talked about it. Here's some info and pics of that museum.

It will depend on what the items are. Things like photo's, uniforms, etc are of interested to museums. Items such as medals etc not so much. Weapons, depending on what they are, can be of interest to collectors. The one photo above had a nice Luger and a P-38 pistol which are of great interest to collectors of those types of items. I'd check around some local museums and see what types, if any, WW2 displays they have and what they might be looking for or have an interest in. I do know the 45th Infantry museum here in OKC is always interested in WW2 memorabilia especially American.

How bout a large banner (like 4x12 maybe) that may have been used in parades.

These are interesting.. But what are they? Propaganda? Several other styles as well

Finally got it dug out the other day.

Not a parade banner but it would hang on a wall behind a podium.

I'm not savvy enough to post pics off of my phone. But, I've posted before my Mother's family lived in Prussia (now Poland) before WWII. They were displaced first by the Nazis and later by the Russians.

One of her brothers was put into the German Navy and was stationed on the Tirpitz in one of the Norwegian fjords when the British attacked and sank her. He saved a couple of guys.. I have two of his insignia from the Tirpitz. (Just can't figure out how to post them off my phone.

Another brother was pressed into service at age 14, or 15,, when the allies were taking Berlin.

Dad brought back quite a few items from Germany. His unit landed on Normandy D day +5 , He drove trucks full of artillery shells .
I remember him telling stories about deer hunting in the hedgerow country. His unit was near Berlin when the war ended.
Some of the items came from One of Hitler's summer homes, Sadly I don't know which items came from that place.
He brought back several pistols , but sold them during hard times after the war.

I have a Luger pistol my uncle brought back from WW2 I think France but not sure. Only thing he ever said to me was the hardest thing he ever did was put his wife in a nursing home, It was as hard as crossing the Rhine river. He gave it to me about 2 yrs before he died in 2012. The fact that he gave it to me rather than just finding it in his stuff means a lot to me. I may post a picture later.

My uncle brought back a for real chain mail glove from North Africa. It was in remarkable condition as it had to be several hundred years old.

My 13 year old has always been fascinated with WW2 and Hitler. He has some cool finds just from local antique dealers. He would love those photos.

How many struggles did Hitler really have? Did you get any appraisals on what you found Roachie? I noticed Flint on your location, surprising Flint doesn't have a place to get that stuff appraised. Have you tried Noonday or Teaselville? bolt

I have a 1943 Mauser P38 with Wehrmacht stamping. Unfortunately some douche scratched his initials into the bakelite handle material.
