Monti is not equadistant between DFW and Houston.
Also, there is a lot of private land already surrounding the lake……at least half of the property bordering Monti is already private.
It is also now permanently 5 feet low and is now essentially a creek arm of Sandlin. Don’t think the water could be privately owned and manipulated like Fairfield. I think whoever buys the plant property will be able to control the dam. I want it sub-divided. I''ll take a few acres in the old park and cut a permanent channel between Monticello Cove and the Lake. Or just 2 acres where the spillway is and remove it... If we aren't getting a nuclear plant, open up the dam like they did Lewisville/Dallas. Good idea.
