The FTC just banned non-compete agreements.

The Federal Trade Commission has issued a final rule making it illegal for bosses to make workers sign noncompetes in any scenario, and voiding nearly all existing noncompetes.

Hmmm?

We have several doctors working for us with those types of agreements. If it holds up to the inevitable court challenges, it could really benefit them and their patients.

Our HR department will find a loophole around it.

A score for free enterprise.

doubt it does what they want. Companies will find a way around it. They just won't train them so they can go complete against them. This sounds like a chinese business model.

My wife has been stuck behind a non-compete for 2.years. It is pretty rock solid according to a company she attempted to get a gig at.

A+

Seriously though I wonder how far this goes... I need to look into this.

OR just let the OT tell me!

So if a guy had been told he is not allowed to "Consult" in a freelance nature with a like business and was also told he could not even take an hourly PT role with certain companies, that some might say are in like business ... is that out?

Asking for a friend.
