I was wondering why none of the younger anglers that have been so dominant lately did not do so well on the St. John Elite tourney this week.

They are actually having to fish and not rely on electronics to catch the bigger bags maybe? I noticed the Japanese scoper with FFS facing all directions on his boat finished dead last in this one.

Making the exact reason why guys need to quit crying about FFS, works on some lakes and not others.

Trey ended up in 17th, pretty respectable considering he lost 1 1/2 hours of fishing time. I think Foutz is a scoper; but the old whiners like Hackney should be soooo happy.

They did fine. This is some veiled attempt to say the young guys can’t fish without FFS..🤡

The leader has scoped bed fish a big part of the time

And the penalty hurt the kid

Technology will continue to advance, anglers will also and along the way someone will say it's the end of the world as we know it. Before to long the next generation will look back and say this is no different than the jump from flashers , to paper graphs onto lcd displays to sidescan. People just like to have a reason to talk about the good old days, lol.

Sounds like the lakes are big mud holes with a few exceptions with all the spraying they did. Doesn’t sound like a very fun event.

Place looked like the most diverse fishing habitat they may fish all year to me. Plus they had to deal with tide.

You’re right it’s unique and has its own challenges there. I wouldn’t want to be fishing in a slugfest, but watching the slugfest on fork this year was the best event we’ll see this year.
