I thought that has been discontinued several years ago but found that from last year.

The article is incorrect. Sorry the elites do not get a classic invite by just winning an event .

They can however win an open event and qualify with both an open win and Elite points (top 40). Double (or triple qualifiers) help some bubble boys each year.

Yes but this thread had turned into someone saying McKinney was qualified for next years classic . Which he has not qualified for next years classic .

We fished there a month ago. We caught a lot of fish, but no size. We had 19 lbs for two days.

Holy cow,
No wonder I couldn’t figure out why Trey didn’t fish the classic

I didn’t mean to high Jack the OP.

I thought it was a simple answer.

Funny how many of the vocal "we want to ban live scope" crew missed the cut in the type of derby that they claim they are so much better than the younger anglers.

7 out of the top 10 have 3 years or less in the Elites.

I guess those that have all that "experience and knowledge" can use some of it to find the quickest route to drive home.

Good to see Jordan Lee in the AOY hunt. He's gonna win a bunch more events in his career. Generational talent.

And staring at a Buncha kids’ backs all day isnt? You guys crack me up. These kids are doing nothing different than the other tour. Watching fishing while staring at the backside of contenders all day sucks. Period. Don’t matter if they weigh five or 100.
