Is there an issue the using vics boatlanes for lake fork (specifically) on the HB solix unit? Someone mentioned the lanes are not accurate on the solix due to them being "scrubbed" by the solix programming.

That can be true, however, the person building the guide lanes for me can combat that potential issue. Typically, scrubbing happens when you have maximized your track memory.

Solix tracks can be built accurately and Boatlanes & Guidelanes are. This is only true for Solix version. NEVER use Helix tracks on a Solix due to Solix scrubbing. And I'd say NEVER use Lowrance or Garmin tracks on a Solix. I've seen instances of tracks created on Solix units off by 40-50 feet on high speed runs.

I run off an 1198c SI and just run the gingerbread trail it leaves on the map, Fork has about one of the best visual marker setups there is. I went Friday and ran around the central lower section of the lake and didn't have but one issue the whole day. I was coming back to the new SRA ramps Friday evening letting the big dog eat, and still liked about a half a mile getting back to the marker buoys that take you to the ramp and saw a dude running a bay boat coming from the 154 bridge towards me he was on his right hand side of the buoys and I the same. This guy switches sides all of the sudden and if I hadn't turned way early to go to the SRA landing we may would have hit head on. I don't know what he was thinking. Alcohol involved or maybe watching his GPS and not paying attention?
