It's up for sale for a 131 million, 5700 total acres includes the lake and all water rights. Now we will see if state wants a do over considering the Fairfield mess.

I’d like to see the precise boundaries.
There are at least two private ranches that directly border the lake already.
Is the power company going to leave all those impressive, expensive looking structures behind?
I know they’ve already taken out and repurposed the turbines.

It would be nice to see the nature conservancy or another conservation org find a way to pony up the money to buy it and then sell to the state when the time is right politically or financially

Considering Texas has a record 32.7 billion in budget surplus ,yes billion, they could afford it now more than ever if they wanted to. That's what makes the Fairfield debacle that much more unexplainable.

I guess that was my point. Government seems to almost always move slower than a snail. So I hope someone can purchase it to “hold it” until someone, hopefully a public entity could buy it, so we could enjoy it.

Luminant/Vistra doesn’t own the lake or property. They sold it a couple of years ago and the turbines and generators were cut up for scrap.
