I’m just thankful we lucked out and are out of the main path of the eclipse. Life will go on here, as it should everywhere. There are so many more things to spend your time and money on these days, I’m praying for rain.

I hope it rains cats and dogs from Del Rio to Texarkana on Monday. Can you extend that hope past Del Rio on out to let's say Langtry, I could use some rain?

once in a lifetime chance to see a total eclipse and everyone out of its path is happy they are not in it... It’s not once in a lifetime. Had one in 2017 you could have seen in the US. You may have to travel to see one but there will be others if you want to see it bad enough.

Can't you just use your phone's camera to look at it for you? Yeah, or the bazillion images that will get posted on the internet. It should generate some good memes too.
