New restaurant, Texas Roadhouse, just opened in our little village.

Gotta admit, I am skeptical of chain restaurants. Is there anything you have tried at a Texas Roadhouse you would consider average or above. Thanks for your thoughts.

Rolls and cinnamon butter are excellent. Ribs are pretty good. Their house salads are loaded up and good. They do a sirloin real good IMO. Usually sirloin is tough but theirs is pretty tender.

It's a safe bet. They are usually well run. Is it a world class steak? No. They check all the boxes for a solid family place. Ate at one last night.

My whole family likes their sirloin, I really like their burgers, the steak fries are seasoned well, baked potatoes/mashed potatoes are hard to screw up, rolls are good and their fried pickles are the best ever. Their catfish, chicken tenders and chicken fried steak are nothing special. My $.02.

I'd rate them as OK but not anything special. If I'm traveling somewhere unfamiliar and see one, I'll stop in.

We cater for the corporate team, and I believe it's the CEO that lives close to us. Taking dinner to them again next Tuesday night.

Regarding this topic, where is "our little village"?

Not a big fan. Food is ok, the joint is ALWAYS crowded and noisy.
