I used to eat only concord grape. Then I tried Smucker's Seedless Blackberry Jam - it's now my go to for PB&J and biscuits

I am an expert on this as I challenged myself to eat a peanut butter sandwich every day for lunch for as long as I could stand it (made it two years almost to the day).

I varied multiple peanut butters, bread types, multiple jams, preserves, honeys, etc. to make this possible. I never hit a wall or found this challenge truly difficult; but on the very last day, I just looked at the sandwich and had zero interest in eating it and threw it in the garbage can.

The best pbj is as follows:
Thin Guerrero flour tortilla…very lightly toasted

You want the thinnest bread that can contain the peanut butter without it getting on your hands.
You want high peanut butter and jam to bread ratio

Peanut butter…started out with a strong Extra crunchy preference, but after the first nine months, I switched to smooth and never looked back…less chance of needing a tooth pick

Jelly/jam—you want something citrus or sharp to cut through the sweetness of the peanut butter.
Orange, lemon, pineapple, raspberry, blackberry, peach preserves are great to contrast with the peanut butter.

Never liked PB&J sandwiches. When I was young we ate PB on buttered bread topped with brown sugar open faced. Growing up in Wisconsin it was real butter. Margarine was not legal to sell in Wisconsin back then.
