Made my first sunfish trip of the year to a local creek, searching for some late winter/ early spring Bluegill. Fished from 11am till 2:30pm and caught some nice Bluegill, Redbreast, and a couple of bass. Fish were holding by grass beds in about 3 to 4 feet of water. The creek was in good shape but could use some rain. Trees are budding and spring vegetation is starting to grow in the wooded area. Caught about 20 fish. The Bluegill and Redbreast were in the 8 to 9 inch range. The bass were in the 1 to 2 pound range. All fish were caught on worms and Gulp Alive Worms, using a bottom technique with a slow retrieve. All fish were released. Fishing a local creek. It just don't get any better!

Thanks Gitter for the reply. Creeks are looking pretty good. Fish have been very active during the spring. Catching some very nice Redbreast, Bluegill, and Rios. Looking forward to a pretty good year of creek fishing.
