And putting out hummingbird feeders-
Things I missed last year- This time last year I still had my legs and hands but I was right in the middle of three week coma- I always look forward to these things every year, but I missed all of it last year and wasn’t sure I’d ever see it again- I was admitted the last week of February and was in the hospital till May, then moved over to rehab till the first week in July- Ive never known anyone that stayed in the hospital that long without dying-
It’s been quite a journey- In a lot of ways this sucks, no way around that- But at the same time, i have been given a gift, literally I’m in bonus time- I have made friends with some amazing people, both in the medical and amputee communities- I get to see kindness from some folks that may not usually show kindness-
I wished I appreciated being heathy when I was, I think a guy just gets busy and does the best he can one day and a time, and this has been happening since time began-
I’m rattling on now sorry-
I just hope you guys will take a small break and enjoy being alive- If you are fortunate enough to be loved by someone please don’t take that for granted, for so many reasons-
Spring is special this year- Just saying-

My car is normally brown, but has been yellow for the last few days as proof. Thankfully some of the pollen was knocked out of the air with the showers.

You sir are very inspiring to me. Life fed you a sh-t sandwich yet you have no bitterness. I have had minor things come up and before I let them get to me, I thought of you and what you went through and quickly realize that I got no reason to complain. You have a great outlook on life and a wit to match. I hope you share many more springs with us so you can keep inspiring me and others.

Thank you friend- And I won’t ever judge how anyone else deals with things that suck- I know we all have those things, but yes, I believe we can choose how we deal with sucky things- And most of us have someone looking at how we deal with that “bad” thing, so that sucky thing can be a teaching moment for someone you care about, so there is that too-

Never really took a shine to birds until I had a pair of cardinals outside my deer blind the last few years. Now I really enjoy all the different birds in my yard…still despise the squirrels though!!
Yep, spring is special!!
