Was talking with a nutritionist about my lack of willpower in treating my Type 2 diabetes. I asked if there was something simple that I could do to help with my health. She said yes and said for me to look into healthy smoothies. She said if I would substitute one meal each day with a healthy smoothie and if I would substitute any unhealthy snack like cookies, chips, candy, cakes etc with a healthy fruit smoothie that over time not only would I be more healthy they would also help my digestive track and I would feel less full and bloated.
My only issue is that I am allergic to Almonds and Pecans and some fruit like Bannana's and most melons like Watermelon, Cantelope, Mango etc.
It seems like most recipes will include Almonds and Bannana's and I was wondering if anyone knew of substitutes for these ingredients. I have found Avacados to be good for Green and Fruit smoothies and just looking for other alternatives.
My first fruit smoothie I just simply added a Nectarine, some orange juice, Stevia sweetener, water and ice and was really surprised how great it tasted and it only took me a minuite with the new Blendjet 2 that I bought on a whim which works really great for this.

Be careful, a lot of the stuff (orange juice, even the fruit) can have a lot of sugar in it. I love oj but simply cannot have it because of the sugar

Excellent advice. It is amazing what and how much sugar they stick in foods/drinks.

4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;

5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Sub oat milk for the liquid (OJ or water)
Fruit of choice and add some spinach for greens. Sounds nasty but you never taste the spinach and get the benefits. I never put nuts of any kind in mine. Not a fan of bananas in liquid form either.
Have started using chia seeds wit no problem. .

Diabetic Friendly Smoothies

Some of these I have tried but I cannot have Stevia or the "yellow" or "pink" packets either.

Thanks for all of the info. I have done a few different things since I started this program.
I have a list of fruits that I use now which includes blueberries, blackberries, strawberries, Peaches, Nectarines and Apples.
I have bought both Coconut Milk and Coconut Water to try. I also have Stevia Drops for sweetness. I am about to check out adding the Spinach and Kale and I really like salads with some thick Romaine Lettuce and actually made a smoothie with the lettuce, lemon juice, and a dash of Olive Oil Itallian dressing.
I am keeping my smoothies to 2 a day because I feel like a couple that I am doing I could have them 3 or 4 times a day.

Fresh lime juice, a dab of Cointreau, and a splash of Blanco, blended with a little ice, will do it for me.

Go check out the frozen fruit in at the store. There are lots of good options there, and you can mix it up. The great thing about smoothies is you can change it up regularly and not feel like you are doing the same thing over and over. You can start with the same base stuff and change up the fruit for a totally different taste.

Greek yogurt, avocados or protein powder are all good fillers.

Walnuts, chai seeds, flax seeds are good for protein and give a little bit of texture.

Spinach is great because you can't taste it. Kale is probably better but it tastes gross.

Drop of honey or agave syrup are good natural sweeteners, but you need to be careful how much you add. It is real easy to pack more sugar into your smoothie than you'd get in a milkshake.

I was under the impression that smoothies could be made with anything. Couldn't you just figure out your own recipe with what you know you like and can safely eat?
