Had a beard before I entered the military, and when I retired I grew a new one. Keep it trimmed to about 1/2-3/8 thick usually just so it looks cleaner. With age it turned into more of a Santa's beard at times with my now white hair. ↑↑↑↑↑ This!

yup... got a yeard+ going right now... I usually hit it with a #2 setting on the trimmer and start over, but this time I had my barber trim it up nice, left the length alone, going to see what it looks like by next year... I love the bear oils too, using Honest Amish Classic Oil now... Do you like the grizzly, black, or panda the best? Actually my favorite is from Beard Baron, majority of my beard products are from him, oils, balms, waxes, not to mention the hand made combs are amazing as well the scissors he pimps are worth the money too... for oils I like Wildwood scent spring, fall and winter, Waikiki for summer, and Fireside for winter occasionally - it has a literal smoke scent that is pleasant but can't do it for multiple days. Any product he makes or pimps is high quality. https://thebeardbaron.comHow I got onto the Honest Amish Classic, was just by chance at Wally World... the name caught me so I tried it, and like it... I will say it doesn't keep the scent as long like Beard Barons products do - it's not the same quality mixture of oils either, but ok for the money IMHO

Yes, I can grow one. While in the military, I always had a mustache, and I would always push the envelope. Now that I'm retired, I only shave when I have too, and this is rare. Once a month, I will use a two guard on the sides but let the rest grow.

I keep telling my wife that I am going to grow my beard like Cody Jinks. She tells me that I better hope he has a spare bedroom too.

Nope... Not even close... I've evolved... No need for a beard when we have heating and air conditioning... Dan

Had a beard on active duty (Navy) until they banned it. I’ve had a beard since military retirement in 1994. During Covid lockdown I just let it get wooly. My youngest daughter and her husband busted me at the local Kroger. She said I looked like a hobo- get a haircut and trim the beard today! 😂 I’ve argued with idiots that insist Sasquatch are real, I was convinced it was all fake, but you just made me a believer.
