I don’t mean some Chyna made recently, I mean the actual made in USA Old Timer.
eBay pre 1996 ish I believe
Sharpen with old school wet rock and you can cut through wire if you need to
I have about 6 of them

^^^ 100% correct. What were they, $13.78 for the middleman or stockman at Walmart? Excellent knives.

Best price I can find for the D2 steel, laminated, Kershaw Leek is around $100. Accidentally left one in my pants and in either the washer or dryer it popped open and managed to break about 1/4' off the tip, re profiled it a bit and she's still going strong but served as my back up. I'll never own another non assisted opening or automatic pocket knife. The D2 blade holds an edge better than anything I've owned.Truth be known, I'd prefer 1095 carbon non stainless. Rust isn't an issue to me as I maintain my blades pretty religiously, have 5 non stainless knives in my kitchen block that are scary sharp.

Do you all keep the Old Timer's in your pocket or pouch? I carry a Trapper in a pouch but a Kershaw clipped on my pocket.

I always just carry in pocket. Speaking of old timer I bet I got my dad one every year for Christmas growing up and most are brand new in box in his safe. After reading this thread last night I went to eBay eeks
