I didn’t realize that it’s a “fact” that “many” bass die after being caught. Where can I find data that supports that assertion? They did a study on Fork, they held the released fish in big netted areas after the tournament, look up Todd Driscoll.

I found the following from his paper on Research Gate: "Tournament and catch-and-release mortality each comprised a total of 1–6% of the population losses across all simulations." and also: "We conclude that the tournament-related impacts on the largemouth bass population at Sam Rayburn Reservoir were low. Despite more than300 tournaments and approximately 150,000 total tournament angling-hours during our study period (Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, unpublished data), tournament-retained fish and tournament mortality only comprised 5% and 2% of the harvestable population, respectively. Annual tournament mortality was 75% lower than exploitation and 20% lower than catch-and release mortality." These results do not square with the qualitative "many" bass dying.

LOL, tournament mortality 20% less than catch and release?

I’d like to see: -Foul hooked fish aren’t scorable/ weighable if your FFS unit is on. -Limitation in the total number of inches of screens on a boat be set at 60. -1 FFS transducer per boat -A BASS senior’s trail without it instead of 3 different pro leagues
There are horsepower limitations on boats and the guys can’t use a dipper. Some common sense regulations should be put in play as it’s getting out of hand and not good for viewership or the tackle industry.
