What rule changes could you see the Tours adopting next year. All FFS fish could be designated sight fishing and mush be caught inside the mouth. Or setting a limit on square inches of graph screen and # of transducers, maybe even a time limit per day when the FFS can be used. Its obvious from the Zaldain video many anglers are begging for some regulations on the new tech. Anyone heard or thought up any other creative reg changes?

I think a good rule is if you try to go old school and take a severe beating, then you have to use FFS for the first 6 hrs the following day. Kind of like making you eat your vegetables… you hate the taste of it, but it will be good for you in the long run.

I think it will be token. Maybe limit the screen size or how many ducers. Nothing that will fundamentally change the situation. They for sure won't limit how many hours you can use it and they won't have any no scope events. Thats just dumb.

Changes are definitely coming. Gonna be interesting to see what they limit. I think they will only allow one FFS transducer and probably TM mount only. I think they limit units to 3 or a certain combined screen limiti in inches.

A lot of elite anglers are starting to support limits on ffs. Imo they should ban it in professional events.

They can’t “regulate” it. It’s either allowed, or banned.

I actually like JJ's idea - half the tournaments with - half without. The smallmouth tournamnets would be totally different without. And the old guard would have to put up or....

I'm hoping they don't change a thing... Make tournament fishing cost prohibited and boring as possible... Maybe it'll make fishing weekends possible again... Dan

Well the Toledo Bend tournament broke all kinds of BASS records in higher viewership. Most livestreamed event yet. BASS just put up the numbers on their social media pages.

So they must be doing something right. No changes!

The crowd that hates it is getting old. Lubys went out of business catering to the olds. The young people who are the future want it and they will get it. Nobody cares if old people watch or not. They are not a significant spend in the market place going forward.

Bass and BPT can sit the group down as say “ok guys, we are gong to ban FFS, as a result of lost sponsorship dollars we are going to raise your entry fees “X” amount of dollars, sound like a great idea?” That would go over like a fart in an elevator.
