Thanks to all for thoughts and prayers. We are good but watched several friends lose it all and nobody was stupid enough to say that it was a gohod thing. Our home was in the direct path of the fire and the wind switched that was blowing 60mph from the sw to 45mph from the due north. Glad you are ok

he didn't cry near as much as some of you cats in fact he was relieved it was cleaned up Sooooo, his house, barn, tractors, livestock, vehicles burned up and he was relieved? Or, are you just saying his piece of scrub dirt got a little scorched? We are talking about people who are losing their livelihoods because of these fires and you are comparing it to a "friend" who got his cactus apples roasted. What do you call somebody who says that?

Daughter, grandkids, brother and stepson live in Amarillo/Canyon. I think the bad stuff is east but I need to check on them. I love and miss living in the Panhandle.

This is very very bad.
I have grown fond of fishing Meredith on my way to or from Colorado and made some friend in the area.
Looking at the maps, its not good for them. I am afraid to even text them and ask how its going... I can see it aint going well. All I can do is pray for them and that the wind stops or shifts away from the populated areas. I'd text them and check in to see if there's anything that you could help with. If they're being evacuated, maybe a spare couch / bed / etc. would be very welcomed. Praying all goes well for them and anyone in the path of this. They need the wind die off quickly and allow the fire to die down to a manageable range.

Hey bud my friend Rebecca over there who owns the Bed and Breakfast I wont name bcs its getting too dammed booked up... you have any idea what things might be like on her side of the lake? I texted her to let her know my wife and I are thinking about them... did not get any reply. I am sure they are busy. All the maps show the fire like right at their door but maybe not quite there? All we can do is pray for them.
