Then why buy there?
Is it cursed land? Does it not have a deep history of plain fires? Where the grass, but not you, will come back a deep, healthy green. Rejuvenated.
I didn't devise or invent it.
But I'll take your deep felt feelings of losing it all. After I build my new house. On your burnt out property.
I'm sorry. Texas can be rough. Following your remarks. It all sounds like real DB talk A new low

300K acres is a massive amount of loss. No way that's a good thing in anyone's mind. Thoughts / prayers going out to all those impacted.

Not good for a lot of folks.
500,000 acres last I saw.
Fire consuming the equivalence of 150 football fields a minute due to winds at times up to 60mph.
May you be treated the way you treat other people, today and everyday!

This is very very bad.
I have grown fond of fishing Meredith on my way to or from Colorado and made some friend in the area.
Looking at the maps, its not good for them. I am afraid to even text them and ask how its going... I can see it aint going well. All I can do is pray for them and that the wind stops or shifts away from the populated areas.

I wonder what such fires would have been like 200 years ago? I guess they would have burned until reaching the Gulf.

One of my friends lost his son a few years ago as he was rounding up cattle on their ranch near McLean while fire was approaching. The wind caused the fire to surround him and he was killed. He was not relieved to lose his son, cattle, and his house or thrilled to see green grass.

Do you have his obituary? I'm not familiar with that fire. Three years ago, huh? What was his name? I might make a late donation.
