Sunday, a neighbor joined me from noon to 6. DS was on FINALLY!! We boated 44 fish with five overs and the rest solid boxes. All drifting mostly in 60 ft. Water temp 48f, light wind and sunny the ideal condition I've been wishing for this winter. White ice flukes caught most, few on pink. Fish were mostly two cranks off bottom. Neighbor is a newbie to DS so I did most of the catching LOL.

Monday I fished solo from 3 to 630pm. First half was windy so I stayed in protected areas in 50ft but nada on the graph. Second half the wind layed so ventured out to open water in 60ft plus and the 3rd spots got a few to follow but they hugged tight to the bottom. Caught 8 DSing mostly one crank off bottom. Much slower today than yesterday. Caught them on pink, white ice and lime flukes.

Last 10 mins of daylight the birds decided to show up. One big broke off my sassy but the second fish was a dandy on the ARig, see bottom pic next to the yard stick, and still growing. Water temp 47f today. Good luck guys!

No wonder I didn’t catch anything DSing

Sunday there were only a handul of fish that followed and suspended about 5ft above bottom, so two cranks got more hookups plus about 40 misses. Monday, fewer fish on graph but the ones present they hugged the bottom tight. About 20 misses on Monday. My take with that many misses, the fish are mostly small. The larger fish are scattered at diff part of the lake and not congregated at the deep like they supposed to with current water temp.

Ideal DS for me on Texoma in deep 60+ the fish are suspended up to 30 ft with high quantity and quality and stronger peck and hookup rate. This winter DS is below average for me.
