Cool the guy spent all that money on charity.
Cooler that Ben got another DD.
My day wasn’t so prosperous.

I finally watched the video, I’m not understanding the hate here. Guy didn’t pay Milliken $17k and Milliken took him fishing, it wasn’t sold as a “Milliken on the water FFS training package”.

just being along for the ride and seeing someone catch a 10+ has to be entertaining cheers

A good rule of angling philosophy is not to interfere with another fisherman's ways of being happy, unless you want to be hated.

No Kiddin’. . . The only time I’ve seen a fish that big was in the BPS tank. I’d love to see that in person.

Some people just like to stir the pot.
OP starting this thread is a fine example of such behavior (in my humble opinion).

What I don't get is the infatuation. Every move he makes someone is all over it like a 13 year Taylor Swift fan. I am not a fan or a hater, he is just another guy throwing colored plastic in the water trying to catch a fish. Guys on here blowing their drawers like he is savings lives or something. Apologies for offending any of the "millies" on here.

Not a fan or hater either, but he's definitely not "just another guy throwing plastics trying to catch a fish." The guy consistently catches pigs which I find pretty impressive. So impressive that now I need to change my drawers.

At the end of the days it's fishing. It's not saving lives or fighting for our freedoms. Fishing is one of the most insignificant sports in the world, and 99.9% of the population could care less about "catching pigs", especially bass, but some of you gargle it until it bleeds.

I did save a life once while fishing so hope ya approve of that. This is the bass fishing section and I would imagine most of the people on here care about it. You might or might not and I really don't care either way. Have a Happy Valentines Day!

What’s the point of your rant?

Agreed.
This is a bass fishing subforum on a board dedicated to fishing.
If you think it's so insignificant, why even bother being here?
No, it's not changing the world...but it IS contributing much needed $$ for conservation, water management, etc.
And it helps millions of people unwind and get a mental cushion from the day to day [censored] that affects us all.
So, it IS important to many.
And a guy who can go out on any given day and catch fish many of us would consider a lifetime achievement is somebody worthy to be held in esteem.
Again, just my opinion.
