My trailer is going strong for being 24 years old, but I think it’s time for a new one. I’d like to get recommendations and suggestions for any types of add-ons that should be included. I have a 19’ Ranger R83VS with a 175 Mercury. I’m looking at aluminum, dual axle. We still make fairly long trips. Falcon, Fork, Toledo Bend, Pickwick, and last year went to Lake Erie for a week.

Disc brakes, all LED lighting, parking brake, maybe some steps at the bow.

I’d also suggest 6-lug axles and 15” wheels/tires. The choices for better load range tires are better in 225/75-15.

All trailers should have steps on them from the factory . They just work

Had an Alum. trailer built by Tex-All Trailers. I added the Easy Steps. Pulls like a dream, hardly know it is back there. They are down by Lake Conroe.

Good looking setup Micheal. I received a quote on an aluminum tandem axle 2days ago from McClain trailers and I have asked for a quote on a new Rangertrail. I should get the quote by the first of next week. The McClain said 4-6 weeks to build and $7000. We’ll see what Ranger says

Been awhile but if I recall the trailer cost around $4500. You might give then a call. They are not a big operation like some of the others and don't have the overhead to pay for.

4500? 7000? Jeez I haven't found an Aluminum Trailer Quote around here for less than 8500. Most are 10-12K for a Aluminum Trailer w Stainless Hardware, Brakes, 14" wheels, Endurance, Slant Fenders etc. for your typical 20ft Bass Boat. Maybe it's just a Florida thing. .

I can see that backing your trailer with the tailgate down would be a problem but my question is why do you do that or was it just a simple accident?

Coastline is definitely better than McClain.

Do the coastlines have torsion axles? And, I don’t mind buying a trailer so far off, but it does concern me about getting parts in the future. If I purchased the coastline, it would give me a good excuse to go fish Falcon a few days

Coastline is definitely better than McClain. Have you ever owned a McClain trailer and that is why you are saying Coastlines are better?

Ordered a new McClain tandem axle aluminum today and expect delivery in about four weeks. Thanks for your input
