You might want to reconsider Naconiche being it’ll be trashed due a SAL being recently caught! Some DA on here, grout scout, let it out of the bag. Good luck, you should be able to cover the whole lake walking from boat to boat. RIP!

T slab was triggered last night. He fought for what’s right. It’s okay. Naconiche is a public lake, enjoy it, whether it’s crowded or not.

I try not to let other peoples actions influence me. Crowds or not this trip is about spending time with pops and seeing some new scenery away from Rayburn.

Just got back from Caddo fishing my first 2 days on this lake. Neat place will be back again, and fishing was very good for me.

Every time I go that place just gives me a much needed reset. It's a special place. We go to unwind and recharge. Probably my wife's favorite lake.

Got just a couple last minute essentials to grab then we are headed north Thursday. Had to make an adjustment with accommodations and will be staying at Caddo the whole trip. Have a feeling it will be tough with the front coming thru but we will enjoy it either way.

I'll give a different opinion and say I'd detour around Naconiche as far as you can

Go to Nacogdoches or Pinkston instead

We had a great time. Ended up fishing just daylight to dark Friday and Saturday. Caught a lot of fish Friday, all day long. Saturday at 1pm, we had 1 fish, put our rods down and went sight seeing around the lake and up the river. After about an hour of burning fuel, we started fishing again and commenced to catching them pretty consistent the rest of the day. I so badly wanted to make a swimbait or chatterbait bite happen in some pad stem fields, but dad only boated 1 fish out of them on a spinnerbait. Tried flipping a light jig around with no bites as well. All of our fish minus that one came off of trees throwing wacky and weightless tx rig stick baits. Caught them everywhere from the islands up the LA arm over to Ames Spring Basin and everywhere in between. For our very first time on the lake fishing post-front, we did better than I expected. Definitely a cool place, and hope to make a return trip late spring/early summer. We launched at Shady Glade both days, and ate dinner at Big Pines Friday night. [Linked Image]
