You can definitely fish with them on the bank. You need a little bit of wave action to make em sing but the slightest movement will make a Demon Dragon rattle.

What about those inline rattles? I have tried demon dragons while anchored and casting out but I just end up with a tangled mess. would wind action be enough to get those rattle going if they are in between the lead and the swivel?

If fishing straight down they for sure work great.

As long as the dragon is moving then it is making noise, waves, dragging, little fish pecking on the bait, etc.

I donโ€™t use the inline rattles but I know Chris uses some so he will probably chime in.

I only use the dragons when I am drifting. Usually the only time I anchor fishing is during the early spring and most of that time I am fishing heavy cover and break off a lot, so I use either peg floats or fish on the bottom.

The inline rattles rattle the least amount of all the rattles I run. They are less effective but I like to use them right next to the hook on my giant baits to help float the bait a little better. Carolina Lake Weights also makes an inline rattle that is very loud and spins. I run them all in different configurations because the flat out work.
