I was just sitting here reading various threads and got to wondering if anyone else still throws old school colors like black, white, and red? I still use black and white quite a bit.

Love a black lizard at night and especially during the spawn. During the summer I'll throw 8-10" black around certain docks. Tail color is usually red or blue.

A plain white craw in spring can be deadly.

Im the other guy who uses black. Mostly DirtyJigs, round head 1/4 oz. 3/8 oz and 5/8 oz. black with black pork trailers. Yep, Uncle Josh is making them again. I think that bass hold on to that pork a lot better than plastic. Maybe the pork gets stuck in their spiney teeth. Who knowsi
I also use the 7" black power worm texas rigged. Thats about as "non fancy' as you can get but it catches fish.

Once in a while, i do use another color, but its rare.

Good luck

Black Flukes, Black 4" Lizards and I always have my Black Hilldebrandt Spinnerbaits for night fishing but also in the spring they work good during the day on some lakes especially Tawakoni.
